Cease-buyer rhymes with cease-fire. It means declaring the end of attacking. Its the laying down of arms. Our routine purchases of agri-business food, gasoline and coal-sourced utilities is the driving force behind environmental pillage. We are the attacking force. The gathering storm of climate change can galvanize us into clarity: we cease buying those products. How important is this? Is this more important than maintaining the status quo on jobs, cars and housing?
By definition, replacing the status quo is the goal. The destructive industries act like addictions. Its impossible to stop when all your friends are doing it. The thing to do is declare a new meaning to friend. The ideal would be to put yourself in rehab: conscious community.
